This joint initiative from RSSA and SORSA will be hosted from 03 – 05 November 2017 at the International Convention Centre (ICC) Durban.  Highlights of the programme include a MSK course, Ethics course and a course on Adult Fractures. Sessions devoted to scientific papers, will include tracts on Advances in imaging and RT, Role extension & Scope of practice, Fusion imaging, Management and advances, Education:  Review of new qualifications (all 4 categories) and Radiation protection in terms of dose optimization, justification and authorisation.

Dear Colleagues – on behalf of RSSA and SORSA, Prof Leon Janse van Rensburg and Dr Fozy Peer,
we cordially invite you to attend the SORSA-RSSA 2017 Imaging congress.

This joint initiative from RSSA and SORSA will be hosted from 03 – 05 November 2017 at the International Convention Centre (ICC) Durban.  The ICC Durban is the ultimate in convenience within close distance of a full spectrum of attractions, hotels, restaurants, shops, cinemas, as well as the Golden Mile with its many beaches. We assure you of an experience where you will be exposed to a technically advanced and academically stimulating programme.

Highlights of the programme include a MSK course as Radiology main track. It will be presented jointly by the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine( ISMRM), International Skeletal Society (ISS) and the South African Musculoskeletal Imaging Society( SAMSIG), with world renowned international and local speakers. There will also be  a short Ethics course and a one day refresher course on Adult Fractures, presented under the auspices of SAMSIG.

Sessions devoted to scientific papers, will include tracts on Advances in imaging and RT, Role extension & Scope of practice, Fusion imaging, Management and advances, Education:  Review of new qualifications (all 4 categories) and Radiation protection in terms of dose optimization, justication and authorisation.

It will be the ideal opportunity to exchange ideas, learn about new advances and strengthen friendships and make new acquaintances. Leading commercial vendors have been invited to present their latest technology and equipment.

Continuing professional development (CPD)
CEUs will be awarded for the congress. The CPD scanning and monitoring process is being managed and sponsored by ConsultUS (Pty) Ltd.

SORSA & RSSA Awards
